NEW: RI State Police K-9 Ruby Found Safe After Running Away

Rhode Island State Police K-9 Ruby, who prompted a search after the RISP said she ran away from Goddard Park on Monday, has been found safe. 

Trooper Davis at the Wickford Barracks confirmed Ruby's status Tuesday morning.

Ruby was located not far from where she wandered off near Ives Road and Goddard State Park on the Warwick and East Greenwich town line. She has been reunited with her handler, Trooper Daniel O’Neil, a member of the Rhode Island State Police K-9 Unit.
