RIDE Updates PARCC Results After GoLocal Investigation Found Errors
A release sent from RIDE Tuesday morning announced the changes.
"The 2015 PARCC reports that we released two weeks ago included data on the percentage of students tested as well as the student results at each performance level (e.g., percent of students meeting expectations). On review of the reports, we recognized that the field marked “Number of Enrolled Students” did not represent all of the students eligible for testing and that, as a result, the reported percentages of students tested (Percent Tested) were too high in some instances," said RIDE in a release.

"Upon review, we learned that some students were inaccurately coded. As a result, some students who were not tested were omitted from the files used to calculate the percentage of students tested," said RIDE. "We have corrected these coding errors and posted an updated report on our website here."
"As to the percent of students tested, the revised report shows no change or a slight change only (1 percentage point) for most schools. Aside from a few schools with very small enrollments, only 4 schools changed in the percent of students tested by more than 10 percentage points (North Providence High School, Ponaganset High School, and Scituate Middle School and High School).
Statewide, there were no changes at the elementary-school level, and there were changes of 2 to 4 percentage points at the middle-school and high-school levels.
