Suspect in Recent Homicide Outside of Providence Nightclub Apprehended

The suspect in a recent Providence homicide has been caught. 

According to police, Ahmad Crowell — who was wanted in the homicide of Danny Zairis — was apprehended by Providence Police detectives with the help of Seekonk police on Monday afternoon.

As GoLocal reported on August 20, Providence police identified the two homicide victims in the city the Saturday morning prior. 

According to police, one victim was coming out of a nightclub off of Allens Avenue; the other victim was found shot in his car in a Cumberland Farms parking lot on Branch Avenue. 

Police identified that the victim of the homicide that occurred on August 28 at 162 O’Connell Street (Revel Lounge) was Zairis, age 24 of Providence.

The victim of the homicide that also occurred on August 28 on Branch Avenue was Andrei Bonilla, age 23 of Providence.

Police this week arrested Andrew Mangru in conjunction with the murder of Bonilla.
