NEW: Three Dead in Shooting at Oklahoma Walmart

Three people were killed Monday in a shooting at a Walmart in Duncan, Oklahoma, police said.

“At this time we can confirm a shooting in Walmart parking lot,” the Duncan Police Department confirmed on Facebook. 

“We have 3 deceased individuals. 1 Female and 1 Male were deceased in the car and 1 Male outside of the car. A handgun was found on scene,” they continued.

CNN reported that schools were locked down briefly following the incident.

Less than an hour later, the school system said it had ended the lockdown after getting the all clear from authorities.

On Sunday, a group of family and friends gathered in a backyard to watch a football game were targeted when a gunman walked up and began shooting, killing four young men and wounding six others, police in Fresno, California, said.

On Thursday, two students -- Grace Anne Muehlberger, 15, and Dominic Blackwell, 14 --  were shot and killed at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita California.
