"Two Sides Shooting" in Providence Gunfight, According to Police - Multiple Critical

Multiple people are in critical condition following a shootout in Providence on Thursday, say police. 

According to authorities, the shootout was gang-related. 

The property at 87 Carolina Avenue -- where the shooting took place -- is owned by David Carides, as recorded by the city's tax assessor.

Police say that at least eight people are injured, and that shots were fired from both sides -- from a drive-by vehicle and from people at the residence. 

There were no fatalities reported as of 9 PM on Thursday.

Nine people have reportedly been injured in a drive-by shooting in Providence. 

According to police, the incident took place shortly before 7 p.m. on Thursday on Carolina Avenue. 

The shooting purportedly occurred in front of a residence.
