Two-Year-Old Dies Following House Fire Off Atwells Ave That Claimed Life of Seven-Year-Old

Providence Police announced Wednesday they were informed that the 2-year-old victim of the recent fatal house fire on Lucy Street, Allison Sandoval, succumbed to her injuries.

The origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The three-alarm fire ripped through the multi-family house off Atwells Avenue on December 22. 

According to fire officials, approximately 60 Providence Firefighters were on scene due to the size of the blaze.

A seven-year-old girl died as a result of injuries; Sandoval was in critical condition before ultimately passing.
