NEW: US Attorney for RI Names Three to Leadership Team

United States Attorney Peter F. Neronha announced Tuesday the appointments of three Assistant US Attorneys to serve in Rhode Island.

Neronha said of the appointments, "I have worked with these three outstanding Assistant United States Attorneys for many years, some of them for over a decade. They are highly intelligent, motivated and experienced attorneys, and I am confident that they will serve the people of Rhode Island extraordinarily well."

The three attorneys appointed will all hold different positions within Neronha's leadership team.

Entering as First Assistant United States Attorney, Stephen G. Dambruch assumes the role vacated by retiring Kenneth P. Madden, who served as a prosecutor for thirty-eight years. Dambruch, a graduate of Providence College '82 and Boston College Law School '85, has served as a state prosecutor in many different capacities in RI, in addition to other assignments including a ten-month detail for the Department of Justice in the Regime Crimes Liaison Office in Iraq beginning December 2005.

Assuming the post of Criminal Division Chief is Adi Goldstein, another seasoned prosecutor and graduate of Harvard '95 and Columbia School of Law '99.

Completing the roster is Richard B. Myrus, who will serve as Civil Division Chief, replacing the recently retired Michael P. Iannotti, who stepped aside after thirty-one years. Myrus is a veteran of the United States Navy, where he rose to the rank of Lietenant, winner of the United Nations Humanitarian Service medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Myrus is a graduate of Columbia University '84, the University of Sand Diego '92, and Fordham University School of Law '95.
