NEW: Video Released by Police of Former New England Patriot Patrick Pass’s Gym Incident
At the time, Pass was charged with felony assault for an altercation involving a then-82-year-old man at a Planet Fitness in North Providence.
Court records show that in the fall of 2025, Pass was accepted into the “Superior Court Diversion Program” - which meant that he wouldn’t face trial.
In a private Instagram post obtained by GoLocal, Pass told friends that there were “no charges against me from that gym incident.”
“I could say so much more and have press conferences but i will not and be the bigger person in this sutuation [sic],” he wrote, noting that letters sent from his friends to the judge "was paramount.”
“I’ll enjoy this small victory of success and continue to show growth and maturity,” he continued.
On Thursday, Colonel Alfredo Ruggiero Jr., of the North Providence police, said, "The North Providence Police Department originally pursued criminal charges of Assault on a person > 60, causing bodily harm. Our agency did not agree with the outcome of the Diversion eligibility program."
