A portion of Manton Avenue in Providence is closed following a car accident Sunday morning.

According to Providence City Councilman Michael Correia, the accident occurred around 7 a.m. on Sunday.

Several utility poles were taken out as a result of the crash.

The area that is currently closed is the 500 block, according to Correia.

The status of the victim is unknown at this time.
