According to an officer on the scene, an HVAC unit was the cause of the fire. Black smoke was seen billowing from the Textron building roof by 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, and by 11:30 a.m. the firefighters had it under control and water was being sprayed off the roof.
Public safety commissioner Steven Pare and Mayor Jorge Elorza were on the scene Sunday morning.
