Power Resigning From Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals

Power sent her formal letter of resignation to Governor Dan McKee, with her resignation effective April 9.
She cited a family member's health issues as her reason for stepping down.

“We thank Director Power for her service on the state and federal level and wish her all the best,” he added.
Power had been tapped by former Governor Gina Raimondo to lead the department in December 2019.
She had previously headed BHDDH for ten years.
