PC Coronavirus Cases Continue To Climb

Providence College
The number of positive coronavirus cases at Providence College (PC) has jumped to 154.

“[There were] fifteen positive tests from yesterday, down from 19 the day before. Won’t have today’s testing results until sometime tomorrow,” Steve Maurano, Vice President at PC, told GoLocal in an email on Sunday.

On Friday,  Dr. Michael Fine, the former Rhode Island Director of Health, warned about increasing cases at PC.

Relating to PC's outbreak, Fine said, “if we see the number of cases increase to 150 to 200 by middle of the week, then that would suggest we are in some trouble.”

On Thursday night, PC had announced that they had found 80 cases -- and shut down in-class teaching for ten-days.
