Providence Councilman Puts $1000 Reward/Bounty on Graffiti Vandal

GoLocalProv has learned that Providence Councilman Michael Correia who represents Ward 6 is offering a reward or bounty for any tip that leads to arrest and prosecution of a gratti tagger that is hitting the area he reperesents. Correia posted numerous pictures and posted the offer to residents in his Ward for a $1,000 payment.

He represents portions of Mount Pleasant, Manton, Olneyville, and Fruit Hill in Providence.

“Ward 6 residents /youth, I am offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual,” wrote Corriea in his Facebook post.

He went on to write, “Myself and Lt. Reddy (of the Providence Police) will viewing video footage later this morning at several of these locations. Anyone with information please contact me 603-6723 or Lt. Reddy 243-6960.”

The graffiti photos show what appears to be the same tagger hitting multiple homes and businesses.
