Providence Issues Parking Ban, After City Gets Hit with Half Foot of Snow

The City of Providence has issued a parking ban starting at midnight on Tuesday to address snow removal, after the city was hit with a half foot of snow on Monday and poor driving conditions throughout the day.

The city called Monday's weather conditions, which saw snow fall all day long, an "evening storm."

The Monday afternoon -- and evening -- commute was treacherous as the city and state were not prepared for Monday's weather, despite the 4-6" forecast.
