Providence Launches New Youth Program

Mayor Angel Taveras announced yesterday a new program to provide at-risk children ages 13 to 18 with a safe and active learning environment through athletics, team-building and community service.

The Providence Department of Parks & Recreation, the Providence Police and Providence College come together launch the program, known as Project Night Vision.

“Project Night Vision is an excellent opportunity for our teens to participate in positive activities in the community and keep them out of trouble and off the streets. I’m thankful to our Parks and Police Departments and to Providence College for getting such an innovative program started here in the Capital City,” said Taveras said.
