Providence Parking Ban in Effect Until 8am Monday

A citywide parking ban in Providence will remain in effect until 8AM Monday, February 16. Residents with overnight parking passes are advised that they cannot park on the street during the duration of the citywide parking ban. All vehicles parked on the street in violation of the citywide parking ban will be ticketed and towed to ensure that roadways can be plowed in the wake of the snow storm.

Residents and businesses are asked to shovel their sidewalks so people can safely get around the city. This is an important public safety concern. Those who still have not cleared snow from the sidewalk in front of their home or business may be subject to a fine.

Property owners are urged to clear snow blocking vents to prevent a potentially fatal buildup of carbon monoxide.
