UPDATE: Providence Police Announce Missing 12-Year-Old Girl “Returned Home Safely”

UPDATE: Providence Police announced on Tuesday, October 7 that the missing girl "returned home safely last night" and "no further details are available at this time."

The Providence Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 12-year-old female, Marelyn Ceren.

Marelyn was last seen at approximately 9:30 PM on Thursday, October 2, on Dartmouth Avenue in Providence. At the time, she was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and gold hoop earrings. She is described as having a small scar over her right eye.

Detectives from the Youth Service Bureau are actively investigating her disappearance and urge anyone with information on Marelyn’s whereabouts to contact the Providence Police Youth Service Bureau at (401) 272-3121.
