Providence Police Drop Charges Against Suspect Accused of Stealing Car With Toddler Inside

Providence Police have announced that they have dropped the charges against a suspect accused of stealing a vehicle — with a toddler inside. 

On Wednesday, November 30, police reported that a vehicle had been stolen — with a toddler inside.

The car was recovered and the child was reportedly found unharmed; police announced they had detained Osvaldo Vazquez, age 50.

On Monday, police said they dropped charges against Vazquez based on new information. 

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
