Providence Schools Cut Student Lunch Pick Up to Two Days

The distribution will take place on only Tuesdays and Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14 sites throughout the city. The program had been five days a week.
This program is offered in coordination with Sodexo Food Services and will continue as long as distance learning is in place.

Hope High School, 324 Hope Street
Mt. Pleasant High School, 434 Mt. Pleasant Ave.
Providence Career and Technical Academy/PCTA, 41 Fricker St.
Reservoir Avenue Elementary, 156 Reservoir Ave.
Juanita Sanchez High School, 182 Thurbers Ave.
Gilbert Stuart Middle School, 188 Princeton St.
Times2 Academy, 50 Filmore St.
Webster Avenue Elementary, 191 Webster Ave.
Tuesday food distribution will include three breakfast and three lunch packages. Friday food distribution will include four breakfast and four lunch packages. Meal will be distributed in 7- to 8-pound boxes to get families through the week. Social distancing practices will be followed.
Families of Providence Public School students can share their students’ ID numbers to pick up food for their children without their children being present.
Free, packaged dinner meals are also available on the same days (from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) to youth 18 and under at all 11 Providence Recreation Centers. More information at www.PVDCOVID19.COM.
