An employee in the Providence Public Schools Department has been arrested for allegedly biting a student.

Court records show that Yaritza Martinez was arrested on simple assault charges on Tuesday for an incident that occurred on September 5.
Martinez works as a behavioral specialist at Lillian Feinstein Elementary School at Sackett Street.
According to court records, Martinez has a pre-trial conference scheduled for November 7.
GoLocal has requested comment from the Providence School Department.
