The Point Street Park — on the west side of the Providence River — provides a spectacular view of the city and offers a new walkway, running paths, fishing spots and a new boat ramp.

One of the special features is a new steel and wood walking bridge.
It connects the central green area to Point Street on the west side of the river.

It offers tremendous views of the Michael S. Van Leesten Bridge, College Hill, and downtown.

GoLocal was there on the first day it opened for the photo essay.
