‘Red Tape’ Bills Move Forward in Senate

Bills that would streamline state regulations for small businesses passed the Rhode Island Senate Committee on Corporations yesterday.

The legislation would create a single online application for permits, establish an Office of Regulatory Reform at the Economic Development Corporation, or EDC, and boost small-business representation on the Apprenticeship Council and the EDC.
