Barrington's Spencer Lane went on social media before the deadly air disaster in Washington, DC on Wednesday - in a post that proved to be haunting.

Lane, a figure skater who had over 5,000 followers on his “SpencerSkates” Instagram page, put up a "story" from the inside of his plane reading “ICT to DCA” before the flight took off from the Midwest airport.

The airport codes were for the doomed flight from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Kansas to Ronald Reagan National Airport in Virginia, across the river from DC.

Lane and his mother, Christine, were identified by the Boston Skating Club as having been on the American Airlines-owned passenger flight that collided mid-air with a Black Hawk helicopter and fell into the Potomac River.

“Our sport and this club have suffered a horrible loss with this tragedy,” said club CEO Doug Zeghibe. “Skating is a tight-knit community where parents and kids come together 6 or 7 days a week to train and work together. Everyone is like family.”

Zeghibe said the athletes, coaches, and parents were returning from the U.S. Figure Skating’s National Development Camp.

Authorities say they believe there are no survivors; the death toll is 67.
