RI Actor James Woods Says His House is Still Standing, Amid Reports of Destruction in CA Wildfires

While many news organizations reported that Rhode Island actor James Woods lost his house in the California wildfires - he announced Friday he did not. 

Woods appeared on CNN for a “tear-filled” interview in which he said, “One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone.”

“Actor James Woods fought back tears Wednesday during an interview with CNN as he talked about the devastation in the Palisades fire that destroyed his home,” reported Deadline.

“But the gut-wrenching moment came when he explained how his wife Sarah was chatting with her 8-year-old niece and how she brought out her piggy bank ‘for us to rebuild our house,’ Deadline continued.

On Friday, Woods announced on social media his house was still standing. 

"A miracle has happened. We managed to get to our property and our home, that we were told is gone forever, is still standing. In this hellish landscape 'standing' is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us," he posted.
