RI Gas Prices Up Six Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up six cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s May 13th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.55 per gallon, six cents higher than last week. While prices are up this week, the past month has seen local prices drop six cents.

Prices are still three cents les than the national average of $3.58 and down twenty-nine cents from last years Rhode Island average of $3.84.

At $3.41 a gallon, the Hess Station on Bulgarmarsh Rd. in Tiverton is offering the most inexpensive gas in the state today. Commuters are wise to avoid the Mobil Station in West Greenwich near exit 7 on 95 S and its uninviting $4.39 price tag per gallon, the highest in the state.

Rhode Islanders are encouraged to search for the best deals on gas around their homes and businesses.

$3.79 ($3.68-$3.99) Midgrade Unleaded
$3.90 ($3.77-$4.09) Premium Unleaded
