RI Nurse’s License Suspended - Allegedly Wrote His Phone Number on Patient’s Thigh

A Rhode Island nurse’s license has been suspended after a sexual misconduct complaint.

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) said it received a sexual misconduct complaint against Raymond Dillon III on June 26.

RIDOH said upon investigation, that it “determined that evidence exists indicating that [his] continuation in practice would constitute an immediate danger to the public.”

Dillon has been a licensed nurse in Rhode Island since 2016.

According to RIDOH, on June 24 of this year, Dillon was working at an urgent care center, and saw a female patent who went for suspicion of a vaginal yeast infection. 

The RIDOH suspension document, issued on June 30, asserts the following:

RIDOH continued that Dillon “did not document the findings or record any assessment of the patient’s external genitalia or the vaginal exam they performed.”

Dillon now has a hearing scheduled for July 10.
