RI State Police Arrest Providence Man on Multiple Drug & Gun Charges

A Providence man was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force (VFTF) on multiple narcotics and gun charges, the State Police announced on Thursday.

Johnny Veng, 29, was arrested following a court-authorized search of his residence at 148 Dover Street in Providence. 

He will be arraigned at Sixth Division District Court on Friday, December 6.

Veng was charged with the following:

  • Possession of firearm after previous conviction of crime of violence
  • Possession of fentanyl one ounce to one kilo
  • Possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver
  • Possession of heroin one ounce to one kilo
  • Possession of heroin with Intent to deliver
  • Possession of cocaine one ounce to one kilo
  • Possession of cocaine with intent to deliver
  • Possession of marijuana

 

RI State Police seized from Veng's residence:

  • .40 caliber Glock 23 handgun;
  • approximately 204 grams of Fentanyl;
  • approximately 368 grams of Heroin;
  • approximately 349 grams of Cocaine;
  • approximately 93 grams of Marijuana
