RI State Police Identify Victim of Fatal Crash on Route 295

Monday night at approximately 6:50 PM, Rhode Island State Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Route 295 North in the Town of Smithfield.

The RISP investigation found that Lori A. Mollicone, age 62, of Johnston, was struck by a vehicle in the center lane of Route 295 North, in the vicinity of the George Washington Highway overpass.

As a result, Mollicone suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.
