The Rhode Island State Police are reporting that there have been 35 weather-related crashes between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday night.

There have been no serious injuries.

"Heavy snow has created slippery roads throughout the region, resulting in numerous crashes throughout the state. We encourage people to stay off the roads if possible. If you do need to drive, please use extreme caution, especially in areas where the roads haven't been plowed or treated, said Colonel Ann Assumpico.
