Actor Alec Baldwin is apparently all in on United States Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI).

Baldwin took to Instagram this week to simply post “Sheldon Whitehouse for Vice President.”

His public statement comes as President Joe Biden is under pressure from members of his own party to not run for reelection.

It also comes as Baldwin is currently on trial for involuntary manslaughter, as he faces up to 18 months in prison if he is convicted in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on a New Mexico movie set of “Rust” in 2021.

Baldwin has been involved in Rhode Island before.

In 2014, he received the "Key to the City" in Central Falls -- for his financial support for the Adams Memorial LIbrary.

Presidential Politics

This week, former United States Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi said that "time is running short" for Biden to decide if he is going to stay in the 2024 presidential race.

In an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Pelosi said, "It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short," when asked if Biden had her backing.

Biden is addressing the nation in a White House press conference on Thursday night.
