GoLocal has learned that a shooting was reported at a Providence home -- just two houses away from Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza’s home.

Providence Police responded to the shooting at the home located at 34-36 Dorchester, a multi-family building, at approximately 3:40 AM on Thursday morning.

The houses are just 200 feet apart from one another.

Providence Police are investigating the shooting, but refused any further comment.

The Mayor's office was unavailable for comment.
