The National Weather Service is forecasting that snow will be hitting Rhode Island Saturday night and into Sunday. More snow showers may roll in on Monday.

Total accumulation is expected to be minimal.

 

Saturday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

 

Saturday Night
Snow, mainly after midnight. Low around 26. Southwest wind around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around an inch is possible.

 

Sunday
Snow before 3 pm, then a slight chance of snow showers between 3 pm and 4 pm. High near 31. Light northwest wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch is possible.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

 

Monday
Sunny, with a high near 27. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

A chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. West wind around 6 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
