The Grainger Foundation Grants $5,000 Scholarship To New England Tech

Last week, Rhode Island's New England Institute of Technology received a $5,000 donation from the Grainger Foundation in support of its mission to provide students with a hands-on technical education.

“This grant will allow NEIT to offer scholarship opportunities for eligible students in our Associate in Science degree program in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, Heating and Gas Technology,” said VP of Finance and Business Administration, Robert R. Theroux. “Because of the generosity of The Grainger Foundation, together we can assist those students who may be experiencing financial challenges in completing their college education.”

The donation was presented by Jim Crowley, Branch Manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc.’s, Warwick location.  As part of the Warwick business community for more than 30 years, Grainger has become the leading broad line supplier of HVAC, electrical, lighting, tools, and other products.
