Top Ten Bills to Watch in Final Weeks of RI General Assembly

With the recent historic passage of gay marriage legislation receiving local and national attention, GoLocal takes a look at some of the legislative proposals still pending that will in part be dictating debate -- and public discussion -- in the weeks ahead as the 2013 General Assembly session nears adjournment in June. 

Today, GoLocal looks at ten hot-button issues including auto body shop "right-to-sue" legislation, gun bills, payday lending, a proposed Woonsocket tax increase, as well as a number of tax -- and tax credit proposals, in addition to legislation addressing the recently approved Sakonnet Bridge Tolls, sex offender registry legislation, House Leadership's economic proposals, and the FY2014 budget, as presented to the General Assembly by Governor Chafee.
