Trump Indictment Unsealed - Faces 37 Charges Including "Willful Detention of National Defense Info"

The news comes as the indictment was unsealed in federal court on Friday, after Trump announced Thursday he was told by his lawyers that he is facing charges.
In the unsealed document, the federal government alleges that Trump illegally took and possessed classified documents from the White House at his property at Mar-a-Lago in Florida — and that he conspired to “obstruct justice.”

According to the unsealed indictment, “on two occasions in 2021, Trump showed classified documents to others, as follows:”

Co-Defendant Named
On Friday, it was also revealed that Waltine Nauta — a “member of the United States Navy stationed as a valet in the White House during Trump’s presidency” is also a co-defendant.
The suit alleges that Nauta packed — and moved boxes — containing classified materials from the White House “from the White and Gold Ballroom” at Mar-a-Lago to the business center on site.
The suit goes on to delineate how the FBI then executed their “court-authorized search” at Mar-a-Lago in August of 2022.
According to court documents, Trump faces 31 counts of “willful retention of national defense information;” a thirty-second count of “conspiracy to obstruct justice;” a thirty-third count of "withholding a document or record;' a thirty-fourth count of “corruptly concealing a document or record,” a thirty-fifth count of “concealing a document in a federal investigation;” a thirty-sixth count of “scheme to conceal;” and a thirty-seventh court of “false statements and representations.”
