Two Bodies Found in Car in Providence, Police Have "Person of Interest" in Homicide Investigation

Two bodies were found in a car on Harris Avenue in Providence late Friday night.

According to Providence Police, a male -- and a female -- were found in a vehicle on the railroad tracks. 

Providence Police Major David Lapatin said the cause of death was gunshot wounds.

"Police received a call about two bodies in a car at that location," said Lapatin. 

"We have someone of interest in custody," said Lapatin of the double homicide investigation. 

Police are not identifying the suspect -- or the victims -- at this time.
