URI Makes a Case for Question 2
This November's Question 2, the Rhode Island Capital Bonds for Higher Education Question, would allow the state to issue general obligation bonds for the construction of a new chemistry building at the University of Rhode Island. The bonds for that project would not be able to exceed $61 million. Other bonds, totaling $17 million, would be for the renovation and addition to the Art Center at Rhode Island College.
GoLocalProv's Marques Coleman took a look inside URI's Pastore Building, the current home of the university's chemistry facilities, and spoke with leadership, students, and the architect for the proposed facility, about what's at stake.
