VIDEO: Judge Frank Caprio Announces Cancer Diagnosis, Asks for People to Pray for Him

Frank Caprio, former Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Providence and star of “Caught in Providence,” has announced he has cancer — and is asking for people’s prayers. 

In a video released on Wednesday, Caprio said the following:

"Recently I celebrated my 87th birthday…this birthday is a little different than any other I have ever had," said Caprio. 

"Quite recently, I was not feeling well and received a medical examination and the report was not a good one," he said. "I have been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas."

He continued:

"I am being treated by a wonderful team of doctors...I pray that God guides their thoughts and their hands in their treatment of me. 

I can’t thank all of you enough for your friendship and kind messages...I am in need of the power of prayer."
