Former U.S. Secretary of State and U.S. Senator from Massachusetts John Kerry is praising Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her work on climate change.

Kerry made the comments while testifying about the issue with the House Oversight Committee.

When Republicans began criticism of the Congresswoman's 'Green New Deal', Kerry said that the idea is one of many for taking on climate change.

Kerry went on to add that despite the 'Green New Deal' not passing in the U.S. Senate, Ocasio-Cortez has people talking more about the threat.
