VIDEO: Providence Police Suspend Officer for 2 Days for Moped Crash, Warnings Issued to Officers

Providence Police on Friday announced disciplinary actions for a number of officers involved in the moped crash involving Jhamal Gonsalves in October. 

After Rhode Island Attorney General announced on Thursday there will be no criminal charges filed against Officer Kyle Endres, Providence Police Commissioner Steven Paré announced Endres will be suspended for one day for driving without a seat belt and a second day not driving in a safe manner.

Endres will be required to undergo retraining for emergency vehicle operations.

Paré also announced three other officers failed to turn on their body cameras and received a first-time verbal warning.

In addition, the officer who administered Narcan will be retrained, and two other officers will receive disciplinary actions for their conduct with witnesses during the incident.
