A Rhode Island woman says a man threatened her — with a sword — during a road rage incident in North Providence on Thursday.

“I’ve never been so terrified in my life,” said Alexa D’Anella.

D’Anella said she was driving on Admiral Street at the border of Providence and North Providence when she was cut off by another driver.

She said she beeped her horn — and the road rage incident ensued.

“[The driver] turned his car around and blocked us, and got out of his car with a sword the size of my lower body," she said.

"He tried to get us out of the car,” said D'Anella, adding the man pulled on her door handle, before he returned to his car and took off.

D’Anella said six North Providence police officers arrived when she called.

She is looking for the public’s help in identifying the individual.
