Providence Police received more than twenty calls for reports of disturbances stemming from large gatherings at off-campus student houses in the city.

Police say that while they were dispersing parties, they were met by hostile crowds — and had bottles thrown at them.

In one incident, police say one man arrested hurled the n-word at two officers.

Providence College student Dylan Curran, age 22, was arrested for disorderly conduct at one scene after reportedly calling two officers the n-word, and then telling them, "f--k you, I'm not going anywhere" when ordered to leave.
