A citizen video from Minneapolis overnight on Wednesday shows the raging fires that were sparked as part of the protest in response to the killing of George Floyd by a city police officer. Four Minneapolis police officers have been fired and the Mayor of Minneapolis has called for one of the officers to be charged with murder.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) on Wednesday called on the Hennepin County Attorney General’s office to charge the police officer in the killing of Floyd.

"Why is the man who killed George Floyd not in jail?" Frey said during a press conference Wednesday. "If you had done it or I had done it, we would be behind bars right now."

According to multiple reports, at least one man was killed in the overnight riots.

The videographer who filmed the above video, but did not identify himself said that a storage building, an apartment building under construction and a shopping plaza were engulfed in flames.
