Woman Assaulted in Kennedy Plaza - Brick Thrown at Her Head While Boarding Bus

The victim was reportedly boarding a bus with her husband, when she was struck in the head from behind by a suspect who threw a brick at her.
The violence came just hours after Providence Mayor Brett Smiley and Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez touted the results of the now-annual “drug bust” in Kennedy Plaza, which included one suspect who had been arrested in last year’s sweep.
