Woman Stabbed in Providence -- Assailant Used Scalpel
Providence police responded to a report of a stabbing in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was a woman in her 30s.

Police say they encountered a female victim, who had stab wounds to her arms and chest.
According to police, the victim said she had gotten into a verbal fight with another woman outside her apartment, who then proceeded to stab her.
Police say there was a "large amount of blood" at the scene.
The victim was transported by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
Police say they have a suspect in custody.
Detectives are currently investigating.
