A graduate of Pilgrim High School in 1993, Craig was a state champion wrestler. He went on to join the United States Air Force, where he honorably served the nation during Operation Desert Storm. Upon his return, Craig continued to serve his community by joining the Smithfield Fire Department where he served for 7 years.
Among his proudest achievements, Craig was a founding member of the Health & Physical Fitness Program at the fire department and later on formed the 76 Foundation with the goal of providing support to pediatric and firefighter cancer patients. However, his proudest achievement, and his most cherished role, was that of being father to his three beautiful children. In his free time, you could find Craig out on the water either fishing or simply enjoying a boat ride with his family and friends. Above all, Craig loved and cherished his family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, South County Health Cancer Center and to Craig’s colleagues and close friends, especially Danny and Steve, for the incredible care and support they offered throughout his battle with DSRCT.
