Amy leaves behind her adoring sons, Anthony J. DeThomas and Nicholas E. DeThomas, and her caring brother, Shaun J. McGovern. She was also a proud aunt to her favorite nephew, Jack McGovern, who brought her joy.
Amy was a vibrant, radiant soul with a warmth that illuminated every room she graced. Her boundless generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand made her a steadfast source of support for friends, family, and anyone in need, which reflected her nurturing spirit. Her athleticism was enjoyed on the softball field and the pickleball court, where her fun-loving nature shone brightly.

A Visitation honoring Amy’s life will occur from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at the Fagan Quinn Funeral Home, Patrick Quinn Funerals and Cremation, located at 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend
Amy’s Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14th, 2025, at Saint Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett, with a live stream link available for those unable to attend in person: https://stthomasmoreri.org/livestream/. Following the Mass, her burial will be conducted privately on Block Island, a place Amy cherished deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital in Amy's memory, honoring her love for children and generous spirit.
