Bryant University Professor, Marcel "Mike" G. Hebert, of Cumberland, Dies at 86
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Andre and Marie (Lambert) Hebert. Mike earned a Ph.D. in Taxation from Texas Tech University, a Master in Taxation and a Master in Accounting from Bryant University, and a Master in Mathematics from Bowling Green State University, as well as CPA and CMA certifications. Mike was a Professor at Bryant University for thirty years and previously taught at Dean College for seventeen years.
Mike was an avid card player and a life-long Red Sox fan; he also enjoyed participating in several golfing and bowling leagues. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Cercle Laurier. Mike was a past president, manager, and coach of East Woonsocket Little League. Mike was very active at St. Joseph’s Church; he volunteered and served on many committees. He was a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, served on the Liturgy Committee, and was the past chairperson of the 50/50 Club.

Mike was a devoted father and grandfather. He dedicated his spirit and energy to loving and caring for his wife and family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Road, Woonsocket.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland.
The family will receive guests at Church beginning at 9:15 am.
