Citizens Bank Executive and Coast Guard Veteran Vincent Balasco of Cranston Dies at 82

Vincent Balasco, 82 of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincent and Giovanna “Jennie” (Conti) Balasco.

Vincent was the loving father of Corinne Tennett and her husband Daniel of Cranston, Maureen Pimentel and her husband Raymond Herchen of Coventry, Doreen Tennett and her husband Eric of Cranston, Alyssa Balasco of San Diego, CA, and the late Kenneth Balasco. He was the beloved grandfather (Papa) of Trevor, Juliana, Emily, Erika, Madison, Jessica, Jacob and Ashlee and the dear brother of his late sister Diane Tomassi. He also leaves his adored cats Finnegan and Callie.

In addition to dedicating over 40 years of his career at Citizens Bank, retiring as a Chief Operations Officer, Vincent was also Dean of Workforce Development at CCRI for several years before retiring permanently. Besides being our hero, he was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and enjoyed volunteering at various community organizations such as Meeting Street School and Ronald McDonald House.

Spending time with his children and grandchildren and showering them with kindness and love is what brought him the most joy.
