Sergeant for Providence City Council, David A. Tassoni, Sr., Passes at 62

David A. Tassoni, Sr., 62, passed away at his home on August 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marjorie (Millard) Tassoni.

David was the beloved husband of Donna (Renzi) Tassoni and loving father of David A. Tassoni Jr., Steven M. Tassoni, and his wife Mayra and cherished grandfather of Aarthi, Giovanni, and Caelis. Brother of Richard and Brenda Tassoni and the late Michael and Joseph Tassoni.

David was employed by the City of Providence as the City Sergeant for Providence City Council for over 10 years. David loved being around his family and his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue Providence.

Burial will be private.
